The Current Issues in Relations Between Latin American Countries and ASEAN
International Relations
(Bachelor’s programme)
8
2016
The formation of the Asia-Pacific region as one of the global centers of political and economic cooperation has led to increased competition between the main actors in the region. One of these actors is ASEAN which offer a model of cooperation in the region. However, despite the variety of formats offered by ASEAN, the Latin American region still remains aloof from these processes. Thus, this work aims to study the relationship between ASEAN and Latin America, as well as prospects for the inclusion of the latter in the framework of the ASEAN-led model of international relations.
