Specifics of Italy`s Interaction with the EU on Migration Issues

This paper presents an overview of the European Union’s migrant crisis with the emphasis on the interaction on the abovementioned issue between two parties: Italy and the European Union. To reveal the key steps made in the direction of crisis prevention and to determine existing controversies a thorough analysis of different sources is conducted. The findings indicated the problems in the EU decision making process and revealed collisions in its’ normative acts. Besides, the research accentuated the main challenges to the Western countries, which threaten their integrity and compromise the internal security. Possible solutions to a current problem include clarification and differentiation of duties along with the universal cooperation on the issue.
