The Latin American Factor in the Modern Migration Policy of the USA in the Late XX - Early XXI Centuries

This research is aimed to track the main trends and methods of the U.S. migration policy in terms of the Latin American focus of the problem. The paper discusses and analyzes the causes of the intensification of the flow of Latin Americans to the United States, their main characteristics and influence on internal policy. Moreover, the author explains the causes and nature of the emerging conflict between the legislative and executive powers in the United States, which hinders the development of effective migration strategy. This analysis allows to forecast the prospects of development of the situation and the outcome of the presidential elections in 2016 in terms of migration policy.
