In the introduction part contains setting aims, explaining the relevance, determining the topic, the subject and main objectives. The first chapter provides the theoretical basis of such concepts as innovation, competition and competitiveness. The second chapter describes the main features of the pharmaceutical market. Also, there is information about the development of China’s pharmaceutical industry and its main characteristics. The third chapter is devoted to the definition of the role of innovation in the competitiveness of Chinese companies in the global pharmaceutical market. Conclusion contains the main findings on this topic.
