The Assessment of the Barriers to the Development of the Wind Electricity Industry in Germany

This paper reviews the affecting factors that impose serious constraints on the wind electricity development in the context of German energy industry. Alongside with the socio-political, economic and technical aspects, it addresses the wind power generation in terms of potential and competitiveness. In the final section, the analysis provides the impact assessment of above mentioned factors and proposals for further research.
