This research addresses different methods of financing of infrastructure projects in developing countries. The increasing constraints on public and banking financial resources highlights the importance of using project finance frameworks in order to attract private investors. This paper aims to analyze the role of project finance mechanism in raising capital for infrastructure needs and mainly concentrates on new trends in this area, that is public-private partnerships. The research also places emphasis on the possible ways to stimulate investments in infrastructure projects, thus increasing the overall investment attractiveness of the country. Key words: project finance, attracting financial resources, infrastructure investment, public-private partnerships.
