The importance of the environmental issues for the society has been consecutively increasing for the recent years. Today the environmental concerns are considered a vital question that needs to be dealt with both on national and international levels. The environmental issues that humanity face today have a serious influence on the life of all people, the economic and social stability all over the world. However, the geographical extent of the ecological problems is widespread unequally around the world. Some countries contribute more to the pollution of the environment than other. Nowadays, the most unstable ecological regions are the South American continent, the North American continent and the Middle Asian region. The United States of America is one of the countries whose economic activity influences the environmental stability not only on its territory but also all over the world. That is why it is extremely important to develop the adequate ecological policy to solve these environmental issues. In the U.S. the regional policy of the states is more effective than the national policy of the country.
