Efficiency of Companies’ Integration Patterns in the Global Pharmaceutical Industry

This paper introduces an overview of various forms of integration patterns in pharmaceutical industry, particularly emphasizing on M&As and business alliances. Alongside with theoretical principles for companies' integration activities, it also examines several real cases in the market. Moreover, it reveals companies' key incentives for mergers and business alliances, identifies the effects these deals bring to the market in the future and evaluates the efficiency of these deals. Also, the performed analysis demonstrates juxtaposition of results reported by various groups of companies and discloses particular successful types of deals.
