Opportunities for BRICS Countries Energy Cooperation

The developing economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa united in the association of the BRICS, became one of the most significant events in modern international politics.The main purpose of this association is to promote socio-economic development within the group on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation, including energy. In recent years, 7 summits were held by BRICS association and several important meetings, which highlighted the importance of cooperation in the energy sector as a key factor of interaction and strengthening the status of countries in the international arena. This study focuses on the problems of energy cooperation between Russia and other BRICS' countries.
