The Role of Toyota Company in Establishing of the Modern car Industry

The motor vehicle industry is one of the driving forces of any economy. The world’s car market is presented by a number of significant market players, one of them being the Japanese concern Toyota. The project proposal is dedicated to the consideration of the role of Toyota company in development of the automotive industry. This company is considered to be an outstanding one due to its unique approach to the production and business, as well as world-famous Toyota Production System (TPS). The paper outlines the key milestones of the development of the company, key reasons for its success on the world motor vehicle market, and production and marketing strategies implemented in the company which make it unique. The project also contains the analysis of economic, innovative, managerial and technological factors in the development of the company. The research has an aim to analyze the impact Toyota has on its competitors, German US and Korean motor vehicle producers, as well as peculiarities of the company’s presence on these markets and strategies of operating there.
