This paper examines current trends and perspectives of development of the international market of satellite capacity. Along with the theoretical principles of how the satellite capacity is generated and distributed throughout the needs of consumers, it adverts to the real experience of the market makers and governmental institutions. Accordingly, the analysis reveals crucial elements that influence marketing strategies of market players. It also shows that the factors are not always the same for each single geographical region due to differences in terms of their legislative regulation and technical development.
