The Analysis of Risks of Vertically Integrated Companies in the Oil Market in the Price Volatility Conditions

Today the global oil market is experiencing the strongest price decline, mainly due to the growth of production volumes and global political situation. In such situation, the risks of a vertically integrated oil companies (VICs), related to the instability of world market conditions, are increasing significantly. This study focuses on the analysis of risks and identification of key factors influencing the activity of vertically integrated oil companies in price volatility conditions. The paper provides an overview of the existing theories of vertical integration, as well as describes the situation in the world oil market.
