Crimes on Air and Railway Transport

The following research paper titled «Crimes on Air and Railway Transport» is performed by Timonin Kirill Alexandrovich, HSE Law Faculty student (group 129). The paper is divided into 5 parts as follows. 1. Introductory part where the scientific contribution, aims and goals, methods are outlined. Besides, empirical and legislative background of the paper is discussed. 2. The part is titled ‘General trends in criminality on transport’. The current part focuses on statistics underpinning criminal situation on transport in accordance with data of the Ministry of the Russian Federation during a period between January 2012 till February 2016. 3. The part is titled ‘Criminality on the railway transport’. This part focuses on the key motives that drive crime on the railway transport. The crimes which are committed on the suburban trains are scrutinized with further recommendations to decrease the number of these crimes. 4. The part is titled ‘Criminality on airline transport’. The investigation of crimes on airline transport is performed with an approach of so-called of ‘avia-rowdies’ phenomenon. In the course of work on the following research paper enquires to the most prominent Russian and foreign-owned companies were made – this part summarizes and renders these enquires. Along with criminal issues discussed at parts 3 and 4 legislative analysis of the corpus delicti of the crimes is performed backed by the Russian and foreign legislation. 5. In the introductory part the results of the research are presented. Likewise, in accordance with the set aims and goals, the measures to decrease the volume of criminal incidents on the transport are discussed.
