The audit plays a fundamental role in a market economy. An outstanding role of audit in today's business environment determines demands for the auditors (special skills). The public importance of the profession determines the relevance of the topic, and submission of certain requirements for auditors. That is why it is necessary to explore the legal regulation of auditors professional activities. The present study examines the system of requirements for the auditors that were enact in Russia Also, the study considered inseparable from the requirement of auditors liability measures.
