Statistical Analysis and Modelling of Demand for Life Insurance Services in Russia

This work is devoted to analysis of demand on the Russian life insurance market, which experiences rapid growth nowadays. This problem is quite topical, as this insurance sector maintains society stability and it is also a good source of "long" money for the country. The first chapter discusses life insurance as a subject of statistical research. It describes the major features of life insurance, classification of this type of insurance and the history of development of this market in Russia. This part of work includes examination of characteristics that describe the level of development of life insurance sector in the country, and highlights factors that may have a significant impact on the demand for life insurance. The second part of this work contains dynamic analysis of demand of the life insurance market, in order to determine how this indicator will behave next year. A linear regression model for panel data and model for 2014 year were constructed to identify factors that have a significant impact on the consumption of life insurance products.
