Role of China in Cybersecurity in Asia Pacific in the 21st Century

In the end of the 20th Century, the Internet became an available service for common users all over the world. Along with the advent of online commerce, social networking and electronic media, cyber security and cyber threat markets started to actively develop. In the second decade of the 21st Century, China has become one of the most fast growing e-crime and e-defense markets. Nevertheless, both Chinese markets remain insufficiently studied. This paper analyze and explain basic tendencies of the development and state of the markets. The main focus is on the market system, the private sector, and their impact on the markets of the neighboring countries in the region.
