The Institution of Rehabilitation in the Russian Criminal Procedure

The Study dwells on the institution of rehabilitation in the Russian criminal process. The author researches the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and other applicable acts, including the legal opinions of the higher counts. He also analyses different scientific sources, such as monographs and scientific articles. On that basis he attempts to make a complete study on the institution of rehabilitation in the criminal process of the Russian Federation. Considered in the work are a number of substantial questions. First of all the author takes a close look at the definition of rehabilitation, its essence and its social goal. He also covers the elements of rehabilitation, which is of high importance, as those are often confused in literature and the legislation as well. Then, the author of the research investigates the subjects of rehabilitation, including the subjects of rehabilitation in private accusation cases and entities. Finally, the author researches the procedure of rehabilitation: the procedure of compensation for material damage, the procedure of compensation for moral damage, the procedure of recovery for others nonmaterial rights of the rehabilitated person. Hence, the author proposes possible ways of improving the legislation on the topic investigated.
