The Right of Indigenous Peoples of the North to Carry out Traditional Economic Activities: Constitutional Legal Regulation and Practices

In the present study we investigated the constitutional regulation of the rights of indigenous peoples to carry out traditional economic activities (both domestic and foreign experience). It was noted that the implementation of traditional economic activities, such as traditional land use is one of the fundamental characteristics inherent to indigenous peoples. Analyzed the jurisprudence (Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation Supreme Court, constitutional (charter) courts of the Russian Federation) on the implementation of the Indigenous Peoples of the traditional nature of the North. The problems of legal regulation of traditional nature management of indigenous peoples and presented legislative proposals for their solution.
