Consumer Rights Protection in the Instance of Buying a Car under a Contract of Retail Purchase/Sale

The paper discusses the current consumer protection when buying a car under the contract of retail purchase and sale. The author raises the problem of the applicability of consumer protection legislation to the contract of retail purchase and sale of cars. Mounted problematic aspects in the definition of persons who are parties to the contract in accordance with the RF Law "On Protection of Consumers' Rights. In the future, the author reveals the order of user actions when it detects weaknesses in their car. The questions of the guarantee and warranty period, as well as those requirements that can be claimed by the consumer. The author, with the help of attracting the most relevant jurisprudence, as well as automakers and dealers positions, conclusions about the need for changes in the RF Law "On Protection of Consumers' Rights.
