In this paper we analyze determinants of net interest margin for russian banks. This analysis is made on an unique dataset built on quarter data of 664 russian banks for the 2011-2015 period. In analysis we can find untypical negative impact on margin of such factors as credit risk, liquidity, inefficiency of banks and key interest rate. Results of this work show us that factors that determine net interest margin in Russia differ from other countries and that it is necessary to confirm theoretical models with empiric analysis in researches of russian banking system.
