The Principles of Constructing the Cinematic Reality in Wes Anderson’s Movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel"

The correlation of film and reality is a central subject of film studies. In this investigation this problem is analyzed with help of semiological and phenomenological traditions. In this work theories of Hans-George Gadamer, Roman Ingarden, Yan Mukarzhevsky, Yuri Lotman are used to explain the concept of space in the context of work of art. The film "The Grand Budapest Hotel" by W. Anderson is used to analyze the principles of constructing the cinematic reality, how existing cultural heritage was refracted in it and how processes of the modernity affected the shape of the product.
