Factors Affecting an Active Aging

Over the last decades many developed and emerging countries have faced the tendency of elder people population and life expectancy growth. This process affects society and economy in many ways on both national and regional levels. Ageing of population could be viewed as indicator of success: healthcare system development, progress in medicine, control of diseases, etc. But it is also necessary to understand the process of ageing affects to socio-economic structure of society. Ageing of population leads to the need of development of special policy to maintain economic growth. The view of elder people role in society and economy is also changing. The concept of active ageing that studies elder people involvement in social and economic processes potential is getting popularity over the last years. The diploma paper conducts the Russian elder people active ageing research and also the study of factors of active ageing. Results obtained at the end of the study will be used to figure out significant factors of active ageing for Russian citizens over 55.
