Achieving Impact on Company Competitiveness from Foresight Methods: The Case of Russian Airlines

Master thesis describes competition between world airlines and gives recommendations for Russian airlines how to be competitive among global air giants. The whole work is divided into two main parts. First is devoted to analysis of global air transportation market, second- to study activity of selected Russian airline (Aeroflot Russian Airlines). Methodological framework is based on combination of different methods: mainly Foresight and strategic management. Result of work is construction of Roadmap that could be used as a basis for construction of future strategies for Russian airlines and mainly for market leader-Aeroflot Russian Airlines. All these strategies and recommendations could help Russian airlines to occupy strong positions in domestic and international markets.
