The paper deals with the wholesale energy and power market of Russia. The global trend of the last twenty years - the reform of the sector, care of the vertically-structured model, increase market competitiveness. Important task is to predict the generation and consumption in view of the actual transfer of power in near-real time, and the inability to store it on a scale commensurate with the regular consumption. The practical part of the work consists of constructing one of the common model for estimating power consumption.
