Factors Influencing Civil Jet Aircraft Positioning and Pricing on Eastern European Markets

The aim of this research is to develop specific recommendations for market positioning and pricing of new Russian jet aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet 100 and Irkut MC-21. The impact factors analysis was conducted to estimate the interdependence between air fleet and such global indicators as GDP indices, world oil price, foreign exchange rates and regulation issues. Competitive advantages of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 and Irkut MC-21 were studied. The research covers major airlines of Eastern European region as main customers of aircraft manufacturers. Recommendations were developed with consideration of macro analysis, competitive landscape and aircraft features and tech specs.
