Assessment of Factors Affecting the Default of Companies

Many companies cannot provide a stable financial position in an unstable economy, that is why banks are constantly and accurately analyze their business partners and borrowers. However, the tools become obsolete over time, and there is a need for a new, more appropriate tools for current market conditions. In this paper, there is analysis of the most well-known existing models to predict default companies. Further, new models were evaluated on the basis of data on borrowers of PC Sberbank, and then composed a risk-based sample of borrowers. In the future, the research can be used for the analysis of the bank's customers to determine the financially unstable ones, it will help in questions of a new loans or a restructuring of the existing ones.
