This study provides a broad literature review about the impact of non-financial information (NFI) on the dynamics of the market to book ratio of the company. In the last decade reports containing information that is complementary to the accounting report became more popular. The information contained in these documents is called non-financial information (NFI) and includes the company's strategy, environmental and social components.

The analysis was conducted by comparing the companies issued the integrated report in accordance with General Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards in 2004-2014 with their peers, published only financial statement. The sample is drawn from the companies based in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS), as these markets are not enough studied in non-financial disclosure issue.

Data were taken from the base of the Compustat created by Standard and Poor's. The information about the companies that produce non-financial reports has been received from the GRI website - the largest organization created to develop the disclosure principles and registration of published non-financial statements.

In this paper the last version of the Olson's model was tested. It has been revealed that the issue of report in accordance with the GRI guidelines has a positive significant effect in a year and a year after release. Also, sectors have been identified for which the issuance of such statements is more significant.
