Mapping of Informal Communication in a Large Organization

The study theoretical material that describes the concept of informal relations has been studied: definition, types, manifestations, causes, spheres of influence, diagnostic methods. Also it was analyzed the existing mapping methods. On the basis of one of the classical diagnostic methods of informal relations method to identify informal relationships using the mapping method was proposed. The proposed method was tested on the example of one of the units of "Sibur". The results were interpreted in terms of decision-making. According to the results of testing of the proposed methodology has made the following conclusions about the structure of informal relations division, the example of which was carried out testing: 1) In the studied organization has clearly-expressed opinion leader; 2) In the studied organizations, informal relations, to address personal issues are more "powerful" than the informal relations, which are aimed at addressing operational issues. 3) study the organization, there are several small cohesive groups (three persons) who are actively using informal relationships among themselves for their own purposes and for the purposes of the working process;
