Analysis of Energy Sector Subsidization Practice Compliance with WTO Rules and Commitments

The aim of this study is to identify , if, subsidizing renewables in the EU in compliance with WTO rules and contributes to a distortion of competition. The analysis confirmed the hypothesis, on one hand based on the assumption that the EU has carried out a successful policy to support renewables and on the other hand that WTO provisions do not prevent the development of the EU energy industry .
