The study points out factors of formation of the image of France in the Russian media. Changes in stable relations between Russia and France took place in March 2014, when the European Union imposed sanctions against Russia in connection with the Ukrainian crisis. France, as one of the leaders of the EU countries, contributed to sanctions’ imposition. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the attitude towards France in the Russian media changed after these occasions. The same factors determine chronological scope of the study — from July 2013 to April 2016.
