Soviet-American Economic Relations during 1933–1945 in the Russian Historiography

Trade and economic relations between the USSR and the United States, covering the period from 1933 to 1945, were an example of working together to overcome the crisis of the two economic systems, capitalism and socialism, which had positive results for both parties. Installing of diplomatic US-Soviet relations, the Litvinov-Bullitt`s trade bill, "moral embargo", Lend-Lease - these factors point to the complex nature of the relationship, where there were both positive and negative aspects, not only affects the economic cooperation between the two countries, but also on diplomatic relations. The subject in the Soviet and post-Soviet period has been the subject of numerous publications, including articles in scientific journals, monographs, statistical data, etc. Their authors were the researchers, dealing with the problem, and people directly engaged in the implementation of economic and trade agreements, "the relations` constructers." The work is dedicated to the interpretation of the US-Soviet relations 1933-1945 years in the foreign trade plan by researchers and contemporaries in the Soviet and post-Soviet era, and to place of this subject in the Soviet / post-Soviet historiography. Work has a historiographical character, so in the middle of the work will address such issues as: the sources, used by the authors, the approach taken in the course of work approaches, the possible impact of the work on the study of history and the formation of a picture of the Soviet-American economic cooperation since the first Five-Year Plans and the Second World War. Also in the course a comparative analysis of interpretations of relations between the Soviet and post-Soviet`s researchers will be, and it would determine how to change the reaction of the scientific environment in the relations between the USSR and the United States with the fall of the official ideology and the change in the foreign policy vectors.
