Features of Foreign Entertainment Media Business in Russia's Transforming Pay-TV Market

The pay-TV market in Russia which have showed positive upward trend until mid-2014, is currently undergoing transformation. This is due to a number of political and economic factors. Currency exchange rate, ban on advertising on pay-TV and limit of foreign investment share had an impact on actors. As a result, some companies had left the market. However, many companies preferred to adapt to new conditions. The author is insider who examines and aggregates the effect of transformation factors and tends to predict future market trends.
