The Problems of the Legal Status of a TV Host in Russia

The thesis deals with the problems of the legal status of a TV Host on the Russian media market. The main purpose of the study was the practice of regulation of contractual relations with TV Host media manager in a developing television industry, as well as identifying strategies for media managers. The main research method was the documentary analysis, by means of which have been studied contractual practices broadcasters with media manager. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that through a documentary analysis (analysis of contracts and court decisions) revealed the strategy for media managers media brand management. The urgency is seen in the fact that the contractual practices of broadcasters with media companies began to emerge recently, replacing the tendency of formal relations on television. Russian legislation governing these relations, relatively young and still developing. Between TV Hosts and media managers have conflicts associated with the high level of competition in the industry. We have identified the main model TV Host relationships with media companies, as well as strategy. Media managers of the strategy is to develop stringent conditions of contracts with TV, to save resources, maximize profits and minimize risks. Analysis of contractual practices showed that these strategies could infringe on the legal status of the TV Host. We have developed basic recommendations for beginner’s TV Host clarifying their legal status and legal aspects of contractual relations. Practical developments on the topic can be useful in a professional environment in terms of in-depth understanding of the legal status of a TV Host in the industry, the characteristics of the contractual practices of media managers with a TV Host and the legal regulation of labor aspects of the television industry participants.
