The Effectiveness of an Information Technologies Implementation in Companies

This graduation project deals with analysis of effectiveness of information technologies implementation in companies. In the era of technologies, it is highly important to understand possible effects of IT implementation. That is why the purpose of this paper is to perform a valuation of economic impact on company while implementing IT in its daily processes. The first chapter of graduation project contains a literature review on the issues related to the topic of the study, including IT investment, ERP-systems implementation as the most popular technology and a brief analysis of IT market and its development trends. The second chapter includes overview of methods that can help to reach the goal of the graduation work - to analyze possible effects of information technologies implementation. The third chapter consists of two parts: the first part is about econometric survey and it is done to check whether it is connection between IT implementation and company’s financial indicators or not, and if it is, to what extend it is significant. The second part of third chapter includes financial analysis of a particular IT-implementation project effectiveness. Results through econometric part of survey have revealed that IT implementation has no significant effect on companies’ revenues and net incomes, but financial analysis of particular project indicated a huge payback and profitability of project. The graduation project includes an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, the list of references and appendix with important tables that are used in the study. The paper consist of 68 pages, the list of references includes 40 sources including articles in scientific journals, web-resources, free-access and limited-access databases.
