The main purpose of work is to examine the basic technical means for implementation of multimedia projects, which is a more in-depth consideration of multimedia components (text, image, sound, video) and the difference between the "new media" and the "old". It will emphasize that multimedia projects are most common to be created on the computer and spread through the Internet, so the main line of the theme is to review the technical side of creating a multimedia product.

In fact, any multimedia project, requires a high-quality site, where all the necessary information can be submitted in a convenient form. The site - a kind of sheath that structures the content in the form which the user can accept in the better way. It is therefore important to pay attention to interrelation of media components in the correct proportions for the best user’s response to the received information. However, the exact implementation of the author's ideas need to hire an experienced programmer who can set up the shell in intended form. But for users unfamiliar with programming, there are a lot of authoring tools that are easy to learn and have a pre-laid elements for the development of an interactive multimedia product. Therefore, an important part of the work is a description of the main possible authoring systems (platforms) to create multimedia projects, and application features with functionality of these platforms. One of them will be used in multimedia project called "Notes on the estates". As a result, consideration will show which functions are necessary to create a project and how it is structured on the selected platform.
