Resolution of a Potential Conflict of Interests in the Russian Federation Public Service as an Anti-Corruption Measure

Issues related to potential conflicts of interest resolution in the public service of the Russian Federation are becoming increasingly crucial now due to the negative consequences of conflicts of interest and due to the adoption of international obligations by the Russian Federation. The present study is aimed primarily at the detection of problem areas in conflict of interest resolution process in public service of the Russian Federation. This work includes a series of expert interviews, and case studies based on them, for the analysis of real situations of conflicts of interest. With the usage of political and legal analysis and the analysis of conflicts of interest cases, problem areas in the Russian legislation concerning the resolution of potential conflicts of interest were identified.
