Transformation of Visualization of Camp Characters During Development of American Cinematography in 1970s

Understanding and perception of camp since the publication of "Notes on camp" has undergone significant changes. For example, in American cinematography, which will be the subject of this study, camp went from being underground mainstream interpretation to the mainstream, and from the mainstream to the postcamp. In accordance with the change of category camp cinema also experienced transformation and visual images of the represented characters. The relevance of this study is to identify and explain the transformations which have undergone visual images of characters in American cinema camp period of 1970. The objective of this work is to identify the relationship between the development of cinema in the 1970s and evolution of camp characters. Research objectives: studying of the key stages in the development of American cinema in the twentieth century; classification of images found in the films of a given direction; identification of typical characters; content analysis of the revealed typical characters in the selected films; comparative analysis of the revealed typical characters in the selected films.
