Evolution of Citizenship Education Models in Russian Federation, Italy and Finland from Emergence to 2015: Factors of Diversification.

The present research "Evolution of Citizenship Education Models in the RF, Italy and Finland from emergence to 2015: factors contributing to diversity and and creation of particular country models" was conducted during 2015-2016 under the supervision of Prof. Nina Belyaeva. The resrch goal posed by the author is trace to trace evolution of citizenship education, at global, regional and country levels(in the RF, Italy and Finland) since its formal emergence and up to 2015 and answer the following research question: How the approaches to citizenship differ and why? The comparison of the countries is based on the following criteria that we believe influence the way schools promote democratic values:Legal foundations for citizenship education development,Political regime and political culture of a selected country, Political culture of school teachers in a selected country,Level of schools and teachers autonomy . The goal is fulfilled by the accomplishment of the following tasks:Assessment of the promotion of CE at international and regional levels, Analysis of regulation acts concerning citizenship education and education in general in the selected countries, Analysis of the historical preconditions for the emergence of citizenship education,Analysis of the degrees of schools and teachers autonomy.
