National Security Strategies of Small States in Eurasia after the Cold War

The purpose of the paper is to identify factors that cause the security policy of small states. The explanatory cross-national comparative analysis and the explanatory case study of outliers are used to reveal basic reasons of difference between strategies. The techniques employed could advance our understanding of the nature of small states security in the frame of modern opportunities in international relations. The present research aimed to demonstrate the relevance of the different strategies existence. The results anticipated are the common scheme of causes and effects in security sphere of small states.
