The present study deals with problems of lack of general information about one of significant social processes – organizational defense. The research highlights lots of blank spots in theoretical and practical grounds of exploring the area of connection between organizational defense and leadership. In order to missing mentioned block in literature the following study is intended to cover reasons for making expectation of noted link. The theoretical analysis is based on the idea that organizational culture is a mediator of relationship between organizational defense and leadership due to its connection to both of these processes. In order to this empirical research covers lots of organizational groups who filled three types of questionnaires to help us to collect significant data. In the survey results we expect that there will be connection between organizational defense and leadership (more concrete: transformational leadership is linked with low defense and transactional leadership is linked with high defense). Moreover, in this study there is a global work for improving the instrument (questionnaire) for finding group defence using factor analyzis and adding new scales. We believe that results will help to solve some theoretical problems and also will be significant for practical work with teams in organizations.
