Statutory Damages in Russian Cure And Intellectual Property Law

The paper deals with a reception and further development in the Russian civil law institute of compensation for infringement of the exclusive rights - an analogue of statutory damages. The problem of the legal nature that combines compensatory and punitive functions causes problems of law enforcement. The paper concludes with several proposals for reform of legislative provisions on compensation in Russia.
