The Selection of Information System for Automating Business Processes in Small Business of Manufacturing Clothing

The topic of the following graduation qualification work is «The selection of information system for automating business processes in a small business of manufacturing clothing» The purpose of this study is to select a stationary or cloud information system to automatize business processes in a small business of clothes manufacture. To achieve this aim we need to perform the following tasks: 1. To investigate the business processes of the company 2. To formulate requirements for information systems; 3. To compare stationary and cloud information systems for the automation of business processes in a small business of clothes manufacture; A set of process models of the higher and the lower level of the textile industry, built in the Value added chain diagram and extended Event Driven Process Chain notations. They will serve the base for the collection of information system requirements, as well as the fulcrum for the business processes optimization in the future. In the first part of the work the specifics of the company was presented, its characteristic features. Then the key processes of the company were formalized; it helped to formulate the requirements for information system to automatize business processes. The second part of the study is about comparison of stationary and cloud information systems in accordance with the requirements. An important stage of the work was the comparison of economies of the systems. This study is a set of steps for selecting an information system to automatize business processes in a small business, which, as the experience has shown, can be applied in various industries. The formalization of business processes, formulation of system requirements and analysis of the empirical base have helped get the information system fully suitable for being operational in the production with such specifics. It is a cloud information system that meets the 97% of requirements and does not need in one-time major investments
