Agricultural and Forest Industry Cluster Identification in Russia

This graduation project was conducted to make the geographical location of firms in Russia more effective. For investigation of localization in agricultural and forest sector was used Duraton-Overman indexe and before calculating the index data passed geocoding process. The result is indexe and localization map that shows place with greatest concentration and lowest concentration. Analyzing the results the following conclusions were obtained: there is industrial dispersion in forestry sector and significant localization in agricultural sector. In agricultural sector influence of localization on firm’s economic indicators is positive and in forestry sector influence is negative. The research also provides some useful information about data analysis and geocoding in applied data analysis package “R”. The graduation project consists of an explanatory note on 46 pages, including 10 figures, 3 tables, the list of 25 references.
