The Application of Information Systems in Supplier Relationship Management by the Example of the "CROC" Company

This thesis is devoted to the application of information technology in supplier relationship mangement by the example of the company "CROC", namely this study examines the process of database management of suppliers. The object of the study is activity of company «CROC» and as the subject will be considered the internal information systems of this company, namely 1C Enterprise 8.2 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. The purpose of the study is to increase the efficiency of database management of suppliers using information systems of the company. The following tasks are identified: to identify the key problems of application of information technologies in supplier relationship management; to study the process of database management of suppliers in CROC, to formulate problems and find the solutions of them; to analyze the information systems of the company and to justify the selection of the system; to offer a new process of suppliers database management and to describe the project implementation The main functional processes of procurement management and the role and significance of the process of database management of suppliers within this process will be discussed in the first chapter, and also the review of the information systems used for suppliers relationship management. The second chapter will analyze the suppliers database management in the company "CROC", which will be revealed the shortcomings of the process. Based on this information prompted a new model of the database management will be offered. In addition, this chapter contains a review of internal systems with which it is possible to increase the efficiency of supplier database management. In the third chapter the choice of information system will be justified. Also the effectiveness of a new concept will be assessed.
