The Development of Business Intelligence System for Selection of Outline of Diet and Trainings

This work is dedicated to the development of business intelligence system for selection of outline of diet and trainings. The relevance of this subject and practical importance of the existence of such systems are given in this research. During the research the key points of the work are solved, and that is why it becomes possible to achieve the main purpose of the research – to develop a business intelligence system, which allows user to assemble an outline of diet and a program of trainings, depending on the user’s individual characteristics and preferences. There are three stages in the research. During the first stage of the work, an overview of the systems, applications and other decisions, which are represented in the market of feeding and trainings, was made. Moreover, analysis of the regulations of the World Health Organization, which are dedicated to the feeding of people of different age groups, was completed. Then the theoretical aspect of the planning and development of business intelligence systems were learnt. In the second stage, the database for keeping information about different aspects of diets and trainings was created. Then an algorithm for formalization of the process of selection of diets and trainings was worked out. Basing on the algorithm, the process of the selection of feeding and physical trainings was formalized. During the third stage of the research, the user interface was developed. Moreover, several test runs were completed in order to check up the work of the business intelligence system. Several variations of the appliance of the system were described and opportunities for the improvement of the application were determined. All the stages of the paper were based on relevant information, taken from the special literature and were strengthened with pictures, screenshots, tables and diagrams.
