Business Application of Clustering Models for Social Networks

This work focuses on the application of clustering models of social networks in business. The object of this research is the social network. The subject of research is the use of cluster analysis of social networks in the various sectors of society. The main aim of this study is a determination the possible application of the clustering of social networks in business. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to social networking as a tool of modern sociological analysis and its implementation. It considers what a social network, what are the prerequisites for its development and identifies ways of its use by employers. The second chapter describes what is clustering, explained the essence of the data analysis method; it provides an overview of the existing clustering methods; considered one of the clustering algorithms based on mathematical interpretation of the social network. The third chapter is devoted to the study of social networks and cluster analysis in solving practical problems of business. During the work following tasks are performed. Relevance of this work is proved, the subject, object, a research objective are revealed. Analysis of the literature was conducted on what constitutes social networks, their classification were described. The examples of the most frequent use socialnomics services as a realization of the social network are presented. One of types of the analysis of data – a clustering, the main methods which it uses in realization is described. Mathematical interpretation of social networks as a directed graph was presented. One of algorithms of a clustering on the basis of mathematical interpretation of a social network is considered. Flagman examples of application of a clustering in various spheres of human life are described. Examples of use of the cluster analysis of social networks in business are presented.
