Lifecycle Management of High-tech Startups

Startups seem to be the most risky projects. However, records show that startups life cycles are not well managed. This study aims to identify the hardware startup life cycle model including the project, product and marketing life cycles with the core processes for each phase of the startup lifecycle. A questionnaire surveys were conducted among the hardware startup leaders for determining the life cycle of the structure and the core processes. Findings also revealed the vital life cycle management mistakes on the each phase of the life cycle. Based on these studies special checklists were built to increase the efficiency of the life cycle phases. These findings can support not only startup project managers, but also some of the venture capital funds, which are surely interested in the startup life cycle monitoring.
