The Role of Internal Communications in Corporate Value's Transfer to Territory Division of Organization

Present master thesis studies the role and opportunities of applying organizational internal communications in consideration of content aspect of communication process. The aim of this study was to define model and peculiarities use of internal communications in corporate transfer of values to territory division of organization. Research was provided with using both qualitative (analysis of organizational documents and interviews with experts) and quantitative (questionnaire) methods. Qualitative (analysis of organizational documents and interviews with experts) and quantitative (questionnaire) methods were used. These methods were used for creating model of communication channels and instruments and for analyzing level of awareness about corporate values in territory division. Empirical base of research consists of 108 employees who have management or specialist level. Data processing includes: the correlation analysis (Pearson's r), the factor analysis, criteria of the Student's t-test for measuring significant differences between groups. As the result of empirical analysis some hypothesis were confirmed: 1) formal and real model of internal communications have differences; 2) difference between managers and specialists in the instruments, which they use for getting information about Company, is significant. However, hypothesis about difference in preferred channels of communications was rejected. According to factor analysis, current model of internal communications in corporate transfer of values was created. This model includes four levels: corporate level, territory division level, “vertical” and “horizontal” communications levels. Practical value of this work is to develop recommendations for short-term and long-term communication system, and to develop the instrument that allows estimating dynamics of chances due to employee’s answers.
