Protection of Music on The Internet

This research involves an analysis of problems arise with the use and protection of music on the Internet. The author of a study considers the legal regulation of music and provides different opinions of researchers concerning a musical work, besides the author analyzes structure of the music work and its criteria of recognizing works as objects of copyright. Special attention was also paid to use of the music in the digital environment and restrictions of the exclusive copyright. Based on analysis the foreign and Russian practices in the research is examined the issue of the protection of music work by website blocking. In addition, the author analyzes the problem of perpetual website blocking and problem of mirror sites and suggests their solutions.
