The theme of this final qualifying work "The Research of Development Stages of the Payment Systems Market. Comparison of Russian and International Experience. " This topic is relevant today, because due to complexity of worldwide country relationships it is important for Russia to understanding its existing opportunities, experience and factors for the development of the national market of payment systems. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current state of the market of payment systems in Russia and worldwide, as well as identifying the main trends and prospects of payment systems development prospects in the near future. To achieve this goal in the work there is a comprehensive overview of the stages of payment systems development. Payments market analysis is also carried out in the study to identify trends and prospects on the basis of existing studies, articles, regulatory documents on the chosen theme. At the end there are identified key factors and future prospects of the industry of payment systems in the world and in Russia. The first chapter provides a theoretical background of the work, namely the review of the stages in the development of payment systems in the world, and in the Russian market. The second chapter contains a study on trends, prospects, characteristics of the modern market of payment systems. In the third chapter I identify several main national characteristics that affect the development of national payment systems. In the result of the study it was found that opportunities, which are nowadays provided by the Russian market of payment systems, correspond either the citizens' needs or the needs of banks, merchants and other payment parties. Although direct development of payment systems in Russia to support world trends does not make sense due to the factors in chapter three, the national payment system should take them into account to use possibilities for their own development.
